Urgent, urgent, emergency…

Here’s the link to the song, for those of you too young to remember…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSGpwf9SNVE

Oh my, that’s ugly.

I have a sense of excitement and urgency to get running. I have somehow been able to move beyond my disappointment and am quite excited about running again. I even pushed it in my National Running Day run. I really, really, really, really, really, really (NO, REALLY!), wanted to walk during that run and I did not. Lumpy and Sally will be riding again, training starting um, now, and running the Portland marathon on October 4, 2009. Ireland will still happen, but will happen on our own terms, without REI interfering.  We’re looking at a trail run tomorrow, I, myself am looking at what’s the absolute limit of what I can do, and we, as a team, are grateful for this last marathon. Can I just say how much I LOVED this course? I am 100% in for running this one next year. I am disappointed to have missed the final hill because I planned on busting it out and telling said hill, “F U, mother F-er…I’ve seen worse…” Worse being Afton, which we may run tomorrow.

I’m running until my knee gives out this time. I’m running until there’s no juice. I’m going beyond what I know this time. I have no idea where this energy and desire came from, but let’s see where it goes, folks. It’s going to be FIERCE. I’m excited to start again. Very much excited. Oooooohhhh, gooooody!!!!!!

About Sally

Yeah, I'm a co-conspirator. I helped start this whole darn thing. The running or the blog, you ask? Yes. Friend of Toots, spouse of Lumpy, runner of dogs, lover of winter weather, reader of books, speaker of languages, educator of youth.
