On Sunday, 8/24/08, I was back at The Great Minnesota Get Together for my yearly gig. And well, just like last year I was inclined to partake of the very very special State Fair Fare…this year’s results:
Mini-Donuts! The ONLY way to start the day.
Mmmmm...Pig Lickers are the hot new item.

With the pig lickers, hopefully temporarily, sold out the Big Ol' Bacon on a stick must stand in.
B.O.B. Thick slice of bacon with maple syrup (not too sweet), cooked to perfection, on a stick.
MMmmmmm...
Loaded Tater Tots on a stick. Shredded potato, cheese, bacon, onion. On a stick...spicy dip to go with. Quite Yummy!
Finally back at noon for the Pig Lickers. This was the line. You're wondering, what are Pic Lickers?
Bacon. Dark chocolate covered bacon. With a sea salt garnish.
Yum!
No, these were actually really good!
And supporting three local businesses to boot!

Oh yeah...battered and deep fired green beans. With a spicy dip. Oh yum!
These were quite good. The green beans were fresh and not over cooked. See, had to round out with a good veggie.
Lumpy! You didn’t!!! I’m still feeling sick from hearing about it last year! Oh what am I saying…I lose all control during San Antonio’s Fiesta….
I did.
And the Pig Lickers were Awe—some!
I don’t care, I still think it’s all gross. I was supposed to accompany Lumpy on this excursion, but chose to avoid the food and the people. Pizza and Italian beef sandwiches are bad enough…Old Uncle Brad also chose to indulge, and was quite pleased with Lumpy’s choices…
That’s enough for me. Old Uncle Brad endorses…I avoid.
