Toots and Sally Ride Again

What does a Sally do when her Lumpy has gone to a conference, you ask? Well, This Particular Sally watches a lot of t.v. This Sally spends more time than she would like with Dawg and Kitties. Today it struck me, as it has when Lumpy has been gone before, that I am perfectly free to do what I want. With Constraints. Nothing is quite as fun as it would be if Lumpy were with me, but sometimes I think, “I should go to breakfast/lunch/dinner!!!, I should call Mary!!!, I should hang out at the library!!! (geek alert), oh my gawd, I should go to the Russian art museum!!!, I love hiking and camping, I should camp!!!). My intention is to camp A Lot once the bugs are gone. I have 3 day weekends every weekend now, and I shall not miss an opportunity. This Particular Weekend will consist of running and/or cycling, watching the weather reports since we’re due for lots of rain, cleaning the dirty, dirty apartment, walking the dog until she’s pooped, rewriting She Runs curriculum, contacting one of the She Runs parents about their dog and the possibility of running with her, missing Lumpy, and a little more cleaning. It may also consist of a Puzzle Trade with Our Favorite Neighbor. We both do jigsaw puzzles, and once in a while we have a grand exchange. So, Lumpy, if you’re checking in, nothing’s going on, and a whole lot is going on. We’re bored, yet tired of all the activity. Come home soon!
