BUGS. Poor Guinness looks like Pig Pen when we run, as we did today in Hyland. I probably do, too, but since I can’t see my own head, I’m not sure. I do have a lot of dive bombing of my head going on, and that is annoying enough. I can’t figure out what these bugs are that are in the prairies here, but they’re big and ugly and they like my poor puppy’s ears a lot.
On to the dragon boats. Wow, could that have been more fun? The idea was put out there that perhaps there should be underwater bombs and such shooting up at us to make it more exciting for the spectators, but I’m not sure I dig that one. Here are some photos that Coworker #2 (possible name change and sister poster/runner/miserable sufferer in the future…) sent:
Lumpy may add more photos with more definition, but LOOK HOW FAR AHEAD WE WERE!!! Lumpy and I are in row #2. I am on the right/starboard (facing the front of the boat), and Lumpy is left/port. You see the flag catcher, the drummer, row #1, then SALLY AND LUMPY!!! Coworker #1 is behind me and Coworker #2 is in front of me. It’s like a Sally sandwich. This was absolutely exhilarating. I was on a high all the way through inventory. Yes, I had to quickly leave and get to work to do inventory. I hate inventory. I really hate inventory. Anyhoo, it provided endless conversation starters and humor. Oh,and we were in the red/winning boat each time.
I HEART DRAGON RACING!!!!!
