So, (in keeping with the current paddling theme) Coworker #1’s “Phantasmic BF SO” called in the “troops” for a Dragon Boat Race at a Dragon Festival. The Sally & The Lumpy along with Cowoker #1–obviously–and Coworker #2 all took part in the “Phantasmic BF SO”’s Dragon Boat Team.
Needless to say, it was two (2) days of mayhem, fun, thrills, aches/pains (not to mention the pain that will come tomorrow from DOMS), and general overall competition. Check out the DEETS at the links as to what Dragon Boating is…
Thanks to all involved who provided for us during this grueling adventure. You know who you are and shall, for the purposes of this, um, website(?), remain nameless.
Final results–much to the chagrin of the ADBA Gal–after we were in 9th place after our first pairing:
- Our second race time, after two heats, was 2:51 (min:sec)
- This was the 2nd fastest race time, next to the 1st of 2:49
- We finish 4th overall, after being in 9th at the midpoint.
- Hoo Ya! Way to dig in team!!!
My point is: take part in a dragon boat race. Not only is it fun, but it is a great Crazy Shite We’ve Done Resume builder.
