Coworker #1 will never tell you this herself, but

she took first in her division in a climbing competition. Yay! Yay! Yay!

I, myself, ran 9 today. It was not spectacular, but it was not un-spectacular, either. I’m pretty pooped right now, but I know tomorrow I’ll be glad I did this run. Lumpy met me at mile 5 this week, again with dog, beverage, and banana. Not Banana. Miss Priss, the dog, does not like to get her undercarriage wet, so she gave me some trouble, but it was fine. My legs were tired by then and my feet were wet, so we chilled out and brought it home slowishly and steadily. The greatest thing about all of my runs lately is that I seem to be a lot faster, so today seeming “slow” was really my normal long run pace. I am greatly looking forward to the Irish for a Day 5k/10 miler.

To end on a high note…I ultimately gained 10 pounds between the Paris marathon and recent times, and today I weighed myself and I’ve already lost 4 of it, simply by writing down everything I eat in my food log and being extremely vigilant about my portions. Of course, running faster short runs and steady long runs is the best bit.

Where ever there’s a banana, I’m there in spirit!!

Aw… Thanks, Sally. I had a blast climbing at the comp. :)
On a seperate note, I too have gained weight both during and post marathon training. It’s been a struggle, but I think I might finally be on the healthy eating bandwagon again. Hopefully I’ll follow in your footsteps with weightloss and fast runs. One can hope. Congrats to you, it’s hard to do!
