Words of wisdom from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

When you are right you cannot be too radical; when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative.

Human salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted.

A right delayed is a right denied.

Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better.

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.

*I ran and did strength training. I’m still sore.

*She Runs is in full force planning/preparation for our spring session.

*I stumbled upon a French teaching position through community ed-French I on Monday eves.

*I stumbled upon a French conversation position the same way, as well as a women’s running group; both start in the spring.

*I spent a lot of time being quiet.

*I’ve been to the chiropractor 3-4 times. One of my legs is shorter than the other due to trouble with my hips and back.

*I started a food log.

*I had a really quiet Christmas and New Year. (Other than the stitches.)

*I got more reading done on the history of Canada. A little light reading on the side.

*I cleaned out a bunch of books and gave them away.

*I helped a coworker move into her first apartment.

*I spent a lot of time doing a lot of self-talk.

*I decided to run every race I feel like doing, even if they are consecutive weekends. Continue reading ‘In the interim…’
