So close!

I’m supposed to be working on a reflective paper describing what I learned in my MPA program. I started writing it yesterday and now I’m just kind of stuck mostly because I’m so anxious. I will probably say this a million times between now and May–I’m in the last semester of graduate school! I’m so excited to be close to the end. I’m in the Capstone class (graduation/thesis) class and we’re reading a great book called The Tipping Point by….ummm…well the last name is Gladwell. It’s a book that talks about the kind of people and events that start epidemics (not necessarily the scary disease kind, but things like trends, fashion, ideas, etc). Sally, you should check it out cause it may help with getting the message out about She Runs.

Anyway, I did run my 6 mile route last Saturday. It was good, except my left knee kind of hurt toward the end. Maybe it’s time to invest in a good pair of running shoes.

By the way, I graduate on May 3rd…would be nice to have a Texas/Minnesota cheeering crew. ;)

The Tipping Point’s author is Malcolm Gladwell. His website is http://www.gladwell.com.

I’ve already requested the time off so I’ll definitely be there!

Let us know the dates. Sorry about editing your post. I put my “alias” instead of my real name and I put She Runs. Pardon the control freak-ish-ness.

I’m so pleased for you, and soooo proud of you. I know you’ve worked hard and had a life to deal with on top of school, and I KNOW how that feels, so congratulations to the best not-really-my-own little sister I ever had. You’ve met every expectation I had of you and more. I couldn’t have completed grad school with a child, like you did, so kudos to raising a strong girl-child, raising yourself, dealing with being married, and dealing with a family-in-law. If you ever doubted yourself, you were wrong! What’s the next step?Oh, and hey, let me know if you find the right running shoes for you. If we carry them at REI, they can be a graduation gift. I get ‘em at 30% off!!!!!

Oops! Sorry Sally! Thanks for fixing it! It sure is tough living a double life! I wonder if Clark Kent ever showed up at the paper wearing his flying suit. ;)

As far as we know, we’ll be there. It’s simply a question of if REI can survive without me. I’ll request the days off.
