Slacking…again!

Ok…so I’ve been slacking ever since I came back from Toronto.  I’ve missed 3 runs (a 13, 10, & 7 miler) in the last two weeks - actually, I like to think it was only 2 runs that I missed because even though I was supposed to run a 13 miler during our Toronto weekend and didn’t,  I sure did feel like I WALKED it!  What can I say…?  Actually, while I’m at it, I’ll just blame missing my 10 miler on Bibisan…she & Alex became a welcome distraction during their visit last weekend.

Anyway, yesterday I topped off week 10 with a 15 miler - OUCH! - that hurt!  I mapped out a new course around the area and didn’t realize how hilly it was going to be (hopefully it will help me out a little this weekend).  I must admit; however, that the weather was actually quite lovely - started at 65F and finished at 78F AND the humidity was low!  I could not ask for more…ok, maybe I could.  Anywhoooo…can’t wait to see you guys this weekend!  Really looking forward to the weather, soup & cookies…oh yes, and the run, of course!!!  :)

So I stayed up stupid late and put a bunch of R&B songs on the pod from a show I did back in 2000. And spent 8.64 miles on Wed reminscing. We did 2 runs of that show and I remember it was a terrible experience. But the music really got under my skin. Listening to the songs, I know I could still call the show today. I wouldn’t go back, but there are parts about my old life that I truly miss… Continue reading ‘The why of it all’
