News from Sally

Well, here’s a brief update from Sally in Russia…all the mushy stuff redacted, of course. ;-)

Howdy!

I am having a great time so far, miss everyone at home. My students are — just like teaching at home, more or less. We go to Moscow on Sunday and Monday to see the sights, then back to camp for our last few days of teaching. I’m taking lots o’ photos… We have quite a bit of spare time, which is nice, and I’ve gotten back into a running routine. You should see people stare when I go running by. It’s apparently the most amazing sight these people have seen. Hm.

Not much else to tell about yet, and I am not sure if I will get a chance to check email again before I come home…

So, this begs the question, do people not run in Russia?

Lumpy & Dawg

Well, as ya’all know, Sally is off in Russia for a few weeks. That leaves Lumpy and DAWG to have some quality time–if that’s what you’d like to call it. We ran at Hyland Park today. I”m sure one of us has written about it in a previous post. It is a great nearby little dog friendly trail. A nice run.

We hit the trail early today–8:30am–because it was expected to be in the mid to upper 80’s. Feh…too hot for both the Lump and the Dawg.  It was a good run though, we had the trail nearly to ourselves. And I got to finally try out a new pair of trail running shoes. I’ll post about them separately…
