2 runs in Dallas, TX

Yikes…I’m way behind in posting here. Feh.

I had two runs this week in Dallas, Texas….Not the weather I’m used to. Actually, when I ran, around 5am, it was a fine 30+°F. A good temp actually….

My 4 miler and my 9 7 miler along the White Rock Creek Trail. Running while traveling is often difficult…but I must prevail at this point.

Tomorrow will be fun. Seriously. It WILL be fun.

Weekend thought.

“There is no time to think about how much I hurt; there is only time to run.” -Ben Logsdon

The end of the treadmill.

I like to think I ran my last run on the treadmill today. From now on I declare the gym to be solely for cross-training purposes. I only did it today because I missed my run yesterday and it was convenient, but boy 4 miles was hard! This entire week seemed difficult…no, not really, I think it was that the whole week just seemed out of whack and I had to re-schedule my runs to days that I normally don’t run on. Then again, I may just be dreading this weekend’s 18 miler. Hungry…bring on the Lasagna!!!

Lumpy, how you doin’? Haven’t heard from you in a while.

It’s Friday!!

“You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed. You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead. Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best. Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.” —Dr. Seuss, Oh the Places You’ll Go!

Ugh.

I feel fat. Really, really fat. I only had to do 7 hills today. I feel like it was supposed to be a much harder workout, but we just don’t have great hills near us, and I do not feel like driving somewhere to run hills. But I did them, and I’m trying to get the best out of it that I can. I am thinking that Guinness will no longer be running with me - she seems to have lost the desire to run and stays at the back of the leash, slowing me down. Annoying. Looks like it’s Tucker and me from now on.

20 miles looms before me.
