I Ain’t No Quitter.

That’s a song by Shania Twain. Imagine it, along with Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield (?) for 10 miles. Now imagine poking yourself in the eye with a KFC spork. I couldn’t tell how fast I was going or anything; I think I had too much time off. Going by my breathing I was doing okay, but I kept worrying that I was going too slow and trying to speed up. Fiasco. How is it that between Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles there managed to be choppy ice, sheets of ice and packed snow? I just don’t understand. Had to walk that portion due to the complete lack of traction, whatsoever. Yesterday I did a 3.5 run with Kona, the dog we are watching this week, along with G. That was fun, not counting the sheets of ice. And the mounds of frozen snow at the end of every sidewalk. And the uncleared portions of sidewalk. And the headwind. Otherwise, woowee! I’m a little cranky this evening.
