OK, winter is finally starting

No forcaster will commit to how much snow we’re going to get. 6-12 inches total likely. With a little luck, we’ll get a whole lot more!

Running will be fun this weekend…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUMPY!!!

And many more…!

Many more runs, that is!  ;)

Ok, winter is definitely over

I started out somewhat sluggish…the temp was still in the 80’s when I started running - ugh! But as soon as the sun went down and the cool breeze blew in, it felt a bit better. It was a good early evening 8 miler, lots of distractions, cyclists, walkers, other runners, people everywhere. I guess the warm weather and sunshine brought people out of hibernation.

10

Ran 10. With G. Went okay. I’m stressed out. I have a little more homework to do. I still have not heard from my doctor. I hope to sleep tonight.

5am bliss

Literally, I actually got up to run my 4 before work. WOW! impressed myself and I totally freaked Tomate out this morning as I walked out the door…I’m not usually a “crack of dawn” runner. Anyways, it was very nice, calm, serene…quite blissful yet dark.

Four 4 Me

Nothing profound today. Just four miles for me.

No GPS. No DAWG. No Sally.

It was a pleasant change–except for: the icy patches; fogged glasses (my own fault for not putting in my contacts); and as always just a little too hot.

Already trying to strategize for the weekend

….And now deep thoughts by Dr. Seuss….

You have brains in your head. You have feet on your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own, and you know what you know. And you will be the guy who’ll decide where you’ll go.
–Dr. Seuss, Oh the Places You’ll Go

I’m so tired of reading feminist theory.

I’ve been reading off and on all day. I stayed home from work because I am worrying myself to death and making myself sick. I suck. But hey, most of my reading is done. I managed to still do my 4 miler (turned it into a 3.7 miler!) with Tucker. Guinness and I are both so tired from yesterday that we managed to hold Tucker back to 8:30-8:50s. Ha! I knew someday I could plod along slow enough to hold him back! Ha! Sheesh. I need to get back to reading.

15, OUCH!

Yeah, that hurt!  Had all sorts of little issues, from side stitches, tight legs, rocks in shoes, oh yeah, and did I mention the side stiches?  It all just made it that much more painful and I just wanted to quit.  I did end up having to walk some…about 1/4 mile @ around mile 10 and again @ mile 13.  I also had to stop to get the rocks out of my shoes.  I kept at it and almost 3 hours later I was done - yeah, I know, definitely not the best time.  You bet I had my Kryptonite today - in moderation, of course, along with some chops - ummmm, I love pork chops!

Self-Abuse

Self-abuse Marathon

Short of accident or hypnosis, self-abuse is logically impossible.
