Nine miles today, two inches of fresh snow, one frozen polar scarf, one dog with icy chin, one soaked Marmot Driclime jacket, two waterproof running shoes encasing two very tired feet, two really exhausted legs. Running through unshoveled snow today was what I imagine it would be like to run through flour. The snow that fell is really dry, and it squeaks and creaks underfoot. It’s really cool and it’s really gorgeous.
