A humid 8 miles

I almost forgot about the humidity in warm weather. My hair was like a wet mop and the rest of me was totally drenched - in sweat, of course. I was quite the piece of work. All in all, a good, much needed run after a full day of sitting in the jurors’ box.

Nothing to post.

I’m catching a cold and I’m tired. I am most likely going to take the rest of this week off. My spring break is in two weeks. I’m just trying to make it through until then.

Jury duty blues….

On the plus side, I didn’t have to go to work today; however, I did have to report to jury duty…and for the 1st time ever I was actually selected as a juror. Can you believe the only thing going through my mind was, When am I going to be able to fit my runs in for the next couple of days? I scrunched in my 4 miler today between jury duty & Miguel’s soccer practice. It was quick and to the point…oh yeah, it was HOT!

I hit the wall….

Had issues today, probably shouldn’t have run. I was feeling a bit under the weather; I think Miguel gave me whatever it is he’s got. I usually schedule my runs around Tomate’s work schedule & Miguel’s soccer schedule and today I ended up short on time due to the unexpected extended nap I took this afternoon…I think my body just decided to shut down. I still went out and ran only to hit the wall at after mile 7…completed 8 miles and called it quits. Slightly sore Achilles…any suggestions?

Uncle…

OK. We kinda decided that we’re not going to run in 14-22 inches of snow.

Looks like a 8 to10 6 mile snowshoe trek in place of that…

Thank goodness for the cool breeze….

Another warm one for me…76 degrees as I ran out the door this afternoon - just a tad bit cooler than yesterday. Once again it seemed like San Antonio was suffering from some serious cabin fever - the town was out in full force. The legs were a little heavy and I did have to dodge quite a bit of traffic (note to self…remember to not go running right after school ends) but overall it was a good run.

legs…lead…slow…heavy…must…run…faster…

Good gravy, I couldn’t get going today. I calculated my mileage, and I’m doing 54 MILES THIS WEEK! Yes, I chose this, yes, I can do it, yes, I am trying to push myself. I’m still overwhelmed by that amount of running. G-Dawg was a pain in the tookus and I was slow. Very, very slow. That’s okay. I keep telling myself that I will be faster on marathon day. Now, if only I completely believed it.
