Tear Down The Wall

wall.jpgI’ve been staring at a wall for the last week or so. My legs are tired and achy. Not just after running, but when I wake up in the morning. As we move toward the one third mark of training, I’m feeling stuck. My training has been pretty good up to this point. However I’m right now nearing a breaking point I think. And no manner of Jedi mind tricks seem to be working.

What have I been doing wrong? I keep asking myself. Maybe I have been running to hard. Too fast. Hal says to run slower. But I’m running at a comfortable pace. Most of the time. (Note to self, don’t post and watch a show about The Information Paradox at the same time. Too distracting.)

I’ve been adjusting my training days a bit. Today, I will run the 12 miler that brings the first third of training to an end. It works out better this way, so Sally and I can coordinate our long run days more easily. It has to get better after today.

Today, I must tear down this wall.

About Lumpy

I'm guilty by association. I'm along for the ride. I'm the crew behind the scenes. Oh, and I'm running along with Toots and Sally.
